Preston's two WRs are 5 Star George Farmer(USC) and 4 star Marquise Lee. Last year he had 5 star WR Robert Woods(5 star).

Read an article this week about Preston. According to his Dad (paraphrasing), "He is either going to SMU or West Point. If it is West Point then he is making a life choice that has nothing to do with football." The Dad went on to say that his son wants to play college football, so SMU is the natural choice.

If you go to his Facebook page...all of his friends and HS teammates are wishing him good luck at SMU...he's not going anywhere.

i sure hope so seeing as we have no other QB's committed for this coming year. with 2 more years of KP - considering he stays healthy - conner will be a red-shirt sophomore if he is the successor to kyle. 2 years should be enough time in the system to get ready.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Stephen Kaiser redshirted this year and will have 4 more years and we still have our New Mexico State J.J. McDermott to back up as well. Freshman Ryan Foster from Plano is also on the roster as a QB.
They are recruiting a 2012 QB also.
We have plenty to choose from so far....

First time head coach? Not impressive. A move worthy of the SMU of old.

A proven winner is far more preferable.

not only that, but they hired a ponyfan as their head coach.

I've met the other Jon a couple of times, we're the same age and were playing in college at the same time. We dont look much alike, though.

It would seem that Preston is coming to SMU. Glad for it. I got to see him play while working in LA. He is solid. Not great, but skills were good. With a teacher like June, I can see him flourishing at SMU. Give him some good targets, and he will hit them. Go Ponies!

Love to you all too, and Merry Christmas.

As an FYI, I was also No Cal Pony, and So Cal Pony prior to being "Well Travelled Pony." I've been on this board since day one. I don't post as much as I have just been a major lurker. Don't worry gang. More to come
