I don't think black uniforms are that big a deal, if done right, but I will be wearing red & blue.

I'll wear black. There could be any number of reasons or combination of reasons for the blackout, but one, if not the only one, is to show support for our troops.

The TV announcers will mention it - the national TV audience will be able to see how seriously we took it.

Besides, I've been eating a lot over the holidays and black makes me look thin.

I had mentioned before that I really do not mind a one time black uniform. But to sell it as honoring the Army is just plain wrong. This is the Armed Forces Bowl. The armed forces are America not a black hole. We did not wear purple to honor TCU. Just come out and admit that we are wearing black to excite and please the players and try to impress recruits.

I am all for trying new stuff to keep the kids happy and supporting the troops,
but the only thing I am concerned about is the fact I am now afraid a lot of SMU fans
will wear black but not get a chance to get to the bookstore and buy "SMU Black"
Why not announce this earlier so Christmas gifts could have included "SMU Black" gear?
This could translate into a Ford Stadium with a lot solid black turtlenecks instead of SMU gear.
I guess it's not that big a deal.
