Proving once again you have to be a winner (or in this case a 2nd place team) to get much recognition... Fresno dominates the All-Wac team, much like TCU did last year, which was released today.
Congratulations to Kevin Aldridge, Jonas Rutledge, and Vic Viloria for 1st team Defense honors.
I'm sort of ticked KG was left off entirely. No offensive players anywhere, either, which I guess is not surprising.
Visit with caution:

Not only can I not believe that KG did not make All-WAC, but what about John Hampton! What a joke! I would take them over the first teamers named in their position any day. What a bunch of crap!
When we kick everyone's WAC [deleted] next year we better have the deck stacked like Fresno Junior College did this year. Speaking of which, based on this All-WAC team, Pat Hill is the coach who should get canned. Can you believe that? How do you have all of the kickers, MVP offensive, and MVP defensive players and not win the conference? How did they lose any games?
Oh yeah, what about Cunningham? I think that the votes were tabulated in Broward County Florida! There has to be a lot of pregnant hanging chads out there. Hampton and KG got ripped.
BTW, guys. Keep playing with the attitude and intensity that you did the last 6 quarters of the season and you will be WAC Champions with a bunch of post season honors.

Well, the Boise State "TE" had a lot of catches/yardage, and at most websites like ESPN, CBSportsline, etc.. he is listed as a Wide Receiver. But it's kind of hard to get All-WAC at TE when they only vote for one, and then give it to a WR. I also watched the Fresno/BS game a couple months ago and thought he ran like a flat-footed spaz.
It also probably did not help John had his three best games (at least as a receiver) against the non-conference opponents.
I was also surprised Charles did not get a mention at Running back, he did more in just over half a season than all but the Nevada guy.
But, I hope SMU takes this as a little more motivation, on top of so many other things, to play to their full potential and turn some heads next year with the conference championship.

Cunningham should have been all-WAC. He had a better year than Lee Mays did. Mays was supposed to be a stud, and he still will in the NFL, but after 6 or 7 weeks of him not making plays, his own school stopped pumping him for awards. Comet got robbed.

This is bs. Hampton got screwed AGAIN. Didn't they leave him off last year? KG got screwed.
Guys, use this as a motivating tool. The WAC organization sucks, just look at the officials we have.
Go Ponies!
