Re: Add 2 more to the commit list!2 speedy playmakers from a winning program. A recent state championship offensive mvp. Both are a threat to score on any play. Good students. Its all good.

Re: Add 2 more to the commit list!Gotta be Ronnell Sims ATH and Darius Joseph WR, both are 3 stars, both come from a winning program (Abilene High) Sims is a recent state championship offensive MVP (2009). Both hold offers from SMU and there's only BCS offer between them (Baylor for Sims).

Scout has them both on the commit list. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: Add 2 more to the commit list!Good News....Welcome to SMU guys ! WR recruit Sims is considered a Texas Top 100 player.
Re: Add 2 more to the commit list! Will someone recite the height, weight, speed, and stats, etc., please?
Re: Add 2 more to the commit list!
Joseph is 6'1", 190# Sims is 5'8", 170# Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Add 2 more to the commit list!6'1" is okay size for a wide-out. We need a little height at that position.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Add 2 more to the commit list!
the 6'1 kid projects to safety I think
Re: Add 2 more to the commit list!
yeah, but he's been playing receiver. Sims has been playing QB. June & Co. will put these great athletes where we can best use them like they did with Zach Line. recognize talent and ability and adjust. Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Add 2 more to the commit list!Joseph was offered after that Nationally televised TV Game with Plant City (Fla). SMU coaches were watching and he caught 9 passes for 188 yards after Abilene decided to pass more since their stud RB Herschell Sims(Okla St) got hurt. He hasn't really put up big numbers except for that game although Abilene is more of a running team. They throw ball about 15-18 plays per game-more this year because Herschell Sims missed several games. He was hurt for much of his Junior year. He's a pretty good track athlete too scoring in multiple events

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Add 2 more to the commit list!i really have wondered with our offense why we have not recruited a real top drawer reciever yet -and here we are in JJ's third yr. We have upgraded so many other positions - but frankly we are about the same as we have been under Bennet when it comes to receiver.
I dont understand why a green (Ga) or blackmon (OSU) type reciever would not see SMU as a great place to showcase. Combine that kind of size at outside receiver with a CUSA defense and our offense and they would have some sick numbers put up on the board - why cant we get that done?
