Black Unis - Why the hate?

I note that most of the people who LOVED this black jersey/blackout idea are the same people who support the geldings.

I didn't have a problem with the 2 big horses because they didn't replace Peruna, but

the black is a problem because it replaces one of our colors.

No I am not part of the problem, It would suck if we got rid of Peruna, I would be pissed then, but

I don't hate black uniforms. My favorite teams colors are blue and gold and black and gold.
I'd prefer SMU to wear their red and blue team colors equally. Also, I would never dress the players in white shoes. I also believe that sharp uniforms help out a team psychologically because they look good. No white helmets either unless they are for matching away whites.

You need uniforms that stand out and look good.

I will always wear blue dominantly or equally with red and or white for SMU.

Let Texas Tech wear black. Who cares. It's one of their colors.

I remember in '94 Plano East got a new look with a new coach and it was very cool and popular. Solid gold helmets and solid black uniforms. Those were cool for a black and gold team.

If you don't like what''s being done by anyone, such as June Jones, to the program then tell them. He is often stubborn to the point of fault like keeping BLM in the Washington State game long after being able to realize that BLM was going to throw away the game after a nice lead.

It's more fear than hate for me. I fear two things about the black uniform:

1. It could look terrible. I don't see red and blue being complementary colors to black. Black tends to look better paired with just one color, not two. Plus, the white helmet would really clash with a black uniform. If we wore a red or blue helmet, it would be OK. It might look OK if we're just talking a black jersey with the white helmet and pants.

2. I don't trust June Jones to let it be just a one-time thing. The man clearly loves the color black. I fear if we go black, we won't go back.
