Wow........and we thought the uniform color/black out was a distraction for our players......I can't believe that JJ couldn't wait until AFTER the game to talk to others about a possible new job. While I think he is the right coach for us, at this time, I am disappointed he would do this---especially to the players---when we are preparing for a bowl game.

This. He loves Hawaii so much he requires that we keep it silent until after his team gets crushed in the Sugar Bowl. But he won't do the same for SMU? He better destroy Army and continue to produce results on the field...
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Well, for that reason and about 2.75 million other reasons he should destroy them.

I am an avid fan of JJ but this latest incident with MD etc. has reduced my confidence and trust in him. If his problem is with the admin (Turner) then it needs to be corrected before he walks. Just my opinion.

GO PONIES!!!

Perhaps this is June's way of correcting it and remaining here. He viewed his position at Hawai'i as untenable, and needed to depart in order to fix it. Hence the silence and his eventual departure. This is a very visible shot across the bow in order to fix things he's unhappy with. If he were really going to leave, we would have probably heard very little about it until he was about to depart.

Now, since he decided to let the world know of his displeasure so publicly 48-72 hours before a bowl game when the team is already facing a number of distractions, albeit minor ones, the onus is on him to march out on Thursday and beat the ever-loving sh*t out of the USMA. And the team better look sharp and focused while doing it the entire morning/afternoon.

The Bird of Prey would not have tweeted what he wasn't told by his client. IPF might be tough to do since we've already committed a ton of resources to hiring JJ. Tweaking admissions is always going to be an issue between any coach and any university with true academic aspirations. Most coaches would like anyone who can walk and talk and run a 4.0 forty to be admitted. But some have not made the commitment growing up to master the arts of readin', writin' and 'rithmatic. As I understand it, we now look at every football applicant on a case by case basis. Remember, we are about education. And if a kid is doomed to fail, he should go somewhere else like junior college. We've already admitted a few kids who were academic risks and many from what I've seen on Ponyfans are not giving JJ the ammo he needs to admit more.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
