Unless JJ is the new GM of the 49ers, it would appear that is not the case. From SF Chronicle

Here are the particulars of the Jed York news conference:

-York said he will hire a general manager to lead the team's football operation and that the general manager will then hire the next head coach.

-York said he has no time table for completing the GM hire, but that he has already started the process. He wouldn't say who he has talked with.

Take it for whatever it's worth but, last night, the person mentioned the most for the SF job was Jim Harbarugh (sorry know the spelling is wrong) and how wonderful he would fit in at SF and how happy the fans would be if he is the new coach.

In my humble opinion, if the NFL is in play, I would be more interested in Norv Turner's future than San Fran.

Let's not forget the Cowgirls down the street. They are probably looking for a coach as I don't believe that Garrett is a lock for that job. Then is could be another JJ and JJ. :roll:
