The IPF for June

Postby Pony in SA » Wed Dec 29, 2010 12:10 pm

Finally had a chance to catch up on the recent postings on this site. I don't understand the problems with completing the IPF for June unless there are some issues as to its location and placement, or issues with zoning for Highland Park.

Personally sat in the luncheon meeting for UTSA football planning with Coker, etc. and projected costs to build one were under $5 million, actually closer to right under $4 million. Certainly we have the funding for one, or we could raise the $5 milllion or so it would take to build one. What did TCU build its for ??

If they asked some of us we would donate what we could I am sure to building one. Ridiculous if this can't get done and funding is used as an excuse.

location has been a big issue. Unlike UTSA, we don't have several 100 acres sitting around

Anybody know where they would build it? You could put a roof on the existing practice field, but it looks good having the grass there on the Mockingbird side of campus.

Put it where the Westcott Parking Lot is right now (if that space is big enough)

you are incorrect. If it is posted on a message board it has to be true

Turpin Stadium has already been built, right behind Crum.

It's being re-built. Current Turpin Stadium will be home to a parking garage and residence hall.
