There are 80 division 1 head coaches that want JJ salary and location....its not the same job it was 10 years ago...there is financial backing and an opportunity to recruit the best grounds in the country....Many at Miami thought they would never get better than Howard Schem. but on came another JJ...

I would place June Jones among the top ten coaches in the country. There is no coach that SMU could hire with a greater record for success. Thus, there are 80 coaches that may desire an increase in salary, but none that match the genius of June Jones.

Yes, Miami hired Jimmy Johnson. Such stories of success are rare, though, and that is why they are remembered. It was a matter of luck.
