Wow! the info keeps getting better the closer you look. He is rated a 3 star recruit on the Insiders-SMU has signed only a handful of players off that list in the last few years. He is the No. 85 recruit on the Insiders' Southwest Hot 100(which apparently includes Texas, New Mexico and Arizona). According to 5A Texas Football he made (preseason)FIRST TEAM All Texas.
...and more-made his first High School start as a Freshman in a superior program like Southlake Carroll-that's says a lot right there. Now has 42 consecutive high school starts ENTERING his senior year. Rivals(Orangebloods) in February called him an elite prospect and noted he had received All-State recognition as both a Sophmore and Junior.

guess that means he will be getting a lot of pressure to reconsider his choice between now and February. Hope he's more "committed" than Chris Hall was...or maybe Wardog will reconsider and decide he wants to stay home and play in Dallas after all.
This is great news.
SMU's two most recent lineman commitments have legitimate Division 1A size: Mouton - 6'3'' 305 lbs. Enright - 6'2'' 280 lbs. (with another year to grow in HS) Big, quick and strong linemen are exactly what the SMU football program needs. Welcome, Kendall and Mitch. Go ponies!
First of all, great job by MustangFan to bring us this news, even before the big services get ahold of it. Outstanding work. You should be on the PonyFans staff!
And Stallion, your enthusiasm is great. I can't remember the last time I read so much positive pub from you about an SMU commitment. We all know you do your homework, so this is extremely encouraging. Great start to what hopefully will be a great class.
Now that's how I like to start my day: way too much coffee and reading about a possible offensive line stalwart coming on board.
I'll echo the sentiments expressed by others: congratulations to the coaches and the Ponies, but more than that, congratulations to Enright. You've made a great choice and you'll value this decision for the rest of your life.
Great job, coaching staff! Now, if it's not too much trouble, I'd like to see this kid put under armored guard, for when Les Miles or some other clown starts putting the screws on. Pull out all the stops. Did somebody at least gave him a tour of the Kappa house? Our buddy Wardog has left me a bundle of nerves.
Good call on touring the Kappa house. Might want to stop by the ChiO and Theta houses, too (if they're the same as when I was in school, anyway.)
Welcome to SMU, Mitch! (Time to start selling other top players on the idea of joining you on the Hilltop.)
The BUS is in Los Angeles right now and just got a chance to read this NEW post.
Hot DAMN. With a couple more signees - Chris Hall may come back. It has happened before!!! Bring in the HERD. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
BUS,
You might also be especially interested to know that I heard Enright was one heck of a good wrestler. I'll ask around and see how he's ranked. But it can never hurt to anchor your line with a badass grappler!
If he is a grappler then he can not put on too much weight just yet. The weight limit was changed in high school from UNLIMITED to 285 cap.
That puts me out!!! LOL I like the balance and total body control that wrestling teaches. Nice to know. Bring In the HERD Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Bus,
You are still in LA? I checked a week old thread and you said you were out here or coming out, but I'm technically deficient and can't figure out how to use the messenger function on this thing. I didn't think you were still out here. Any chance you are going to be down in OC? If so, and if you can send emails through this messenger gizmo, let me know. Would love to treat you to a bite to eat. Good news on the recruit! Your motto is gospel. "Big Butts!" Later, OCM
