just back from the game. Mustangbill, little RGV and myself noted the impressive showing by SEMO State...they brought an almost UTEP-sized contingent. Well maybe not that big. Did outnumber the SMU student section of 5.

Nuk had 17 in the 1st half. Dia had 3 fouls within about 2 minutes of the second half.

Fun fact: SEMO St coach Dickey Nutt is the brother of Ole Miss fb coach Houston Nutt.

oh yeah: shout out to the group sales manager from SMU, who brought Cub Scout pack something or another to the game.

And good news: Cheer and Pom will be well-rested for the bowl game, as they sat out tonight's thrilla at Moody

Dickey Nutt? What an unfortunate combination of names.

Papa fouled out in first several minutes of second half. 47 fouls called in game, almost every possession it seemed, which made this an extremely boring game to watch. We outscored SEMS by 10 on free throws, which won the game for us. After new years day, I am not hopeful for the remainder of the season. could be ugly

Haynes really asserted himself in the 2nd half. He played a great game and looked like the most talented player on the floor. Nuk was draining from the outside all game long but still fails to finish around the rim.

You touched on 2 really good points. The program really needs Haynes to play this type of game on a regular basis. He may be the most inconsistent player on the team. RN could really be something special if he could improve on taking the ball to the rack & finishing strong.
The good news is that it appears that these 2 will really be pushed for playing time next season.
