CUSA Bowls

Postby Pony_Fan » Fri Dec 31, 2010 1:28 pm

Not a good showing..

So Miss Lost
UTEP Lost
SMU lost
Tulsa dominated
ECU crushed

Let's hope UCF shows up against a mediocre #6/7 SEC team.

So, let's just say SMU or a CUSA is ranked around #5-10 in the polls - do they still play in Liberty Bowl?? The chance of playing a top 20 ranked opponent in the bowl games is pretty slim to none.

Likely 1-5 finish, we were the only C-USA team favored to win our bowl. Tulsa was the biggest of the underdogs and won their bowl by 27.

UCF won earlier today against Georgia, 10-6, so C-USA ends 2-4 in bowls this year.

I seem to recall another team facing a similar situation as Tulsa in Hawaii about this time last year. And that outcome was a difference of 35 points...
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

At least the 2 best teams in the conference won, only SMU really embarrassed itself being the only favorite to lose.
