I wonder just how long fans, supporters and alumns would have continued to buy into the bs from our administration that our athletic programs were competitive for a small private school. We can hate TCU, but we owe them a big thank you for showing us that the "king had no clothes"!

We already use the TCU Model. That was a great rationale before 2008. This is for the Little Schools and whether they are going to continue to have a seat at the Big Boy Table. Unless they do have access to BCS Bowls schools like SMU will always be at a huge disadvantage and now that TCU will be BCS they will have a huge advantage over SMU in recruiting every Texas kid. But that's spoiled milk because TCU drew Aces and knew the score a Decade before SMU woke up.

Probably first need to play in a Conference that gains respect before you get into the Top 12 and that's if non-BCS schools continue to perform well in these crucial matchups. If they get blown out like Hawaii for a couple of years they won't get the respect TCU, Utah and Boise have earned in recent years

I have always thought, and will contiune to think that SMU is a far superior school, in countless ways, compared to tcu..I do not hate them, I know I / we are better v. them..I don't want to act like some "Bama fan who thinks everything rises and sets on f'ball...I am happy for the Frogs...good luck to them.
