They are damn good too...there is no denying that. I'm seriously impressed with their fan turnout - I really don't think we could come close to that if we were in the Rose Bowl.

They effectively dispel the "small living alumni base" that so many of us like to cling to....there has to be at least 35,000 frogs there.

I honestly think if we played in the Rose Bowl, or any BCS bowl, we would take a bunch of people. everybody that has even thought about being an SMU fan would be there. I don't think they have 35,000 people there, but probably 20,000 or so.

TCU's perception among their local community is better than ours. It will take a while for us.

Just had a report from the field saying TCU got new cleats for the game, had trouble in practice yesterday, too, and can't switch them out because they didn't bring a replacement. Comment was that there will probably be a lot more tape on those shoes throughout the game...
