That must be Robert E. Ramsey, Jr. who played at the Hilltop in the 1950s. His grandfather played at SMU 1942 and 1946-47.

Have I got that right?

He must be the 1940s version. He played at SMU then left to fly in the Navy and came back to SMU - probably the break in playing time you show. Also, he played with Doak (40s).

He had a brother that played at SMU too - not sure his name but maybe he played in 50s.

Okay, Robert E. Ramsey lettered at SMU in the 1940s. But there was a Robert Ramsey, Sr. who was the principal at Diboll H.S. from 1947-74 and died in 2005. Robert "Bobby" Ramsey, Jr. played at SMU in the late 1950s but transferred to SFA, I think. So maybe they're brothers.
