Mark it down: the 2005 recruiting class will be the best yet under Coach Bennett. There will be coaches out there asking "how did SMU get that guy?" With a couple of wins this year, and a continued influx of talent, the corner has been turned as we head to C-USA next year!

Yep Bordano, Flanigan, Womack, and Johnson were absolutely sleepers with very little alternatives. The fact that they excelled and SMU still only won in the neighborhood of 20-30% of the games in their respective careers proves exactly what happens when you recruit 25 sleepers per year. You don't get credit for bowl games and championships by unearthing a few diamonds in the rough every year-you actually have to mold a team together of 85 men. That's not to discredit their individual accomplishments.

With regard to Rossley recruiting 25 nobodies a year, here are some nobodies I wouldn't mind having back:

Swann
Bordano
Flanigan
Womack
Johnson (Luke)
Y'know?

Rossley's career winning percentage approximately 22%. Enough Said.

I agree with you Stallon on Rossley. I had thought that my previous post didn't post...I wasn't trying to reiterate or reemphasize.

Kerley (6-3, 255, 5.0) is rated the top OC prospect in the State by Lemming and the 15th best lineman. GPA is 3.85.

Pretty impressive. Sure would be nice to get back in the race for that guy.
