The window to become an elite non-AQ team is closing quickly......... 8-5 & 7-7 seasons do not garner much national interest for teams in the "lesser" conferences.

When will it be shut, after 2013?

The problem is that unless a conference has a modicum of respect the voters are not likely to vote the remaining non-BCS schools high enough to qualify for the BCS Bowls. The MWC has been severely damaged and CUSA has never contended for even Top 12 consideration. The school that might be closest is UCF and they too may go BCS. Its important that at least 3 conference schools get some significant level of national respect and that means playing and beating top teams. Otherwise, I could see the MWC and CUSA get shut out for most if not all years.

UCF as we all know will be a BCS school soon. Until it is, however, CUSA should do whatever possible to make UCF its flagship school. Raise CUSA's visibility along with Memphis and ECU. Too bad the conference can't get either Memphis or UCF on ESPN for "Big Monday" every week during bball season or something. Whatever it is, make UCF the Texas of CUSA. They may not always be this conference's bell cow, but as long as they are...milk 'em.
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.
