Just got the Dear Parent letter for SMU tuition 2011-12 Tuition $ 39,430 increase of 5.9 percent (same as last year) Housing 8490 increase 3.9 percent Board 4725 increase 3.5 percent Total $ 52,645
take this total, compound it over 4 years at 5% = $226,906 that is what a 4 year education will cost you if you are an incoming freshman.

assuming you eat every meal on campus, and don't do ANYTHING.

There was a 5.9% tuition increase last year? So are the job opportunities, quality of education, and costs of education that much more expensive or do they just stick it to you for good measure?

Well at least the degree is getting better and better, and you know they are putting some of that money to the $1.2 million spent on flowers.
