4 star OL's offer pulled
per front [free] page of Rivals
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

I'm not surprised by this. We have a lot of OL commits already.

Something else is obviously going on. It doesn't seem like he has as many schools after him as he should.

[deleted] or get off the pot. SMU did what it had to do.
Re: 4 star OL's offer pulled
thought this guy had some academic questions. is that true or am i mistaken?
Re: 4 star OL's offer pulled
I'm guessing grades are the problem, it looks like several schools have lost interest since the article below was written.

like this move, dont be a safety net, plus his feet concern me. He reminds me of Daniel Johnson, an OL from Seattle, WA that Mike Cavanaugh recruited to Hawaii. Complete bust because of his feet..

Re: 4 star OL's offer pulled
I find it interesting that this is coming out today and just yesterday things were sorted out with Yenga. Considering that both of these players were between us and a school that had yet to offer, maybe our coaches told them it was time to make a decision. Either way, I'm glad Yenga is back.
Re: 4 star OL's offer pulled
are we really in a position where we should be telling 4 star o-linemen to commit now or lose his offer when he's between us and 1 other school? like other people have said, there has to be more to this story. can't possibly just be an issue of impatience on smu's part.

Set the precedent. Raise the bar. The asthma field is over there.

Ahhhh...a Jimmy Johnson pearl.SMU89 wrote:Set the precedent. Raise the bar. The asthma field is over there.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: 4 star OL's offer pulled
If you notice he said his "top two picks IS SMU and Idaho' (instead of ARE, if the TCU guys are still on this board) ......I believe he may have failed the English portion of the SAT's.

Re: 4 star OL's offer pulled
It has got to be grades. There is no way that a 4 star lineman would only have two offers from non-AQs
