I agree that we should expect post-season play, but realize that post-season play in football is less of an accomplishment than in basketball. In football you only need to be roughly in the top 50%, whereas in basketball you need to be in the top 33%. I understand that top 25 is top 25, regardless of sport, but also realize that there are many more teams competing with us for those coveted spots in basketball.

Nick- in my 'past life' I was a partner, manager, and key trader for a firm that was 'affiliated' with GS. Since moving to SA. no longer day trade. For the past 6-7 years I have mostly traded/invested in gold/silver/PMs and miners as well as a few pharmas. My trading window is now more than a day or two since I no longer have unlimited funds to use. As they say- some days you eat the bear and some days the bear eats you. Tradinng/investing is like a drug- once you really get into it you just have to keep going. However, I love the challenge. OK- enough personal crap.
We need to get this bball program headed in the right direction and that doesn't include doh.

Good comments. 129 D1 men's basketball teams will go to post season tournaments. SMU currently has an RPI ranking of 309 out of 345 teams. No excuse for this type of performance.

RPI has improved by 42 spots in the last two weeks. :-)

Memphis at #45 and UAB at #54. It looks like one bid to the NCAAs unless Memphis stays strong and loses in the conf title game. They play Gonzaga on Feb. 5th.

We are much better then we were just two weeks ago. This could get kind of interesting down the stretch.

I agree. It's awesome to see them have games like this. I'm tempering my expectations somewhat, but it's really encouraging to see these kids putting games together like they did last night.

Yea, I don't expect much, other than hanging close and winning a few more. That said, I'm sorta blown away by what I'm seeing right now, even in the losses. If there was any question whether or not this system works, that's being answered on the court. Add talent and damn

Hats off to Mangino! Haven't seen anything like this. doh's offense was dribble and throw up a prayer with 2 secs left.

Let's surprise some more teams. Papa dictates our game. He might start getting double teamed.
