Has anything happened with his petition for a 6th year?

He should hear any day from the NCAA. There were extenuating circumstances in his initial redshirt year.

He was deemed a viable (albeit longshot) Heisman candidate.
Bet on it: he'll be back.

UH is arguing, using revisionist history, that his first redshirt season was for medical reasons. Problem is that they are just now 5 years later bringing up these "medical" issues. The only way the NCAA is giving a 6th year is if both lost seasons are from reasons out of both the players and teams control (ie, injuries).

Pinkney. And after his 20+ years another Pinkney took over. Probably his son.

genius.

I remember an article in the Houston paper after he got hurt that said full out that he was not injured his red shirt year. I wish the appeal was public to see how they spin it.
