Faculty Club Luncheon - Dale Hansen

Postby FriscoPMG » Fri Jan 07, 2011 12:21 pm

On Tues, 1/25, the SMU Faculty Club Distinguished Luncheon with feature Dale Hansen speaking on "The SMU Death Penalty and Ongoing Resurrection."

Should be interesting to hear more firsthand stories from him and his current perspective...

Why does SMU even allow this guy on campus? Yes. he did his job and freedom of the press etc... But SMU doesn't need to allow him have access to the school. If you have some one that revels in giving you a hard time, why invite him over to do it? This just seems silly to me.

The truth of the matter is Dale can be a pig. But I do enjoy seeing him torture Jerry Jones.

Agree. To me this is part of the problem that we keep on rehashing. Why do we (SMU) keep opening the wound? We made a mistake, we paid for it, shove the geldings in the barn and slam the door. I want to move on and revel in the academic excellence of the school and the rebuilding of the team. Thanks for letting me vent.

They should ask Thad or ED to speak - the faculty might learn something from them. By the way what does he know about our resurrection - he certainly hasn't reported on it.

I'll likely be there.

I'll ask Dale to call me out and bring me up to the "stage". (I've been to many of these faculty club meetings, there really isn't a stage, so to speak.)
