When is signing day?

as far as I know we dont own RE directly - we have invested in several real estate related private equity managers. The exception could be the occasional gift - but those typically get liquidated since SMU is not set up to manage those.

I was familiar with the properties listed, but those are more strategic facility plays which are not operated in the same way an income producing/investment property would be, a la the mythical hotel.

Not owned by SMU. I think the prior owner was Prescott, but they must have sold it or lost it to foreclosure last year (I'm going from memory because DCAD's history for the address links to the wrong property so I can't verify that Prescott owned it, or if it was a foreclosure or normal transfer).

Current owner is Trigate Capital which does invest institutional money, so maybe there is an SMU connection there. Trigate took out debt and there was a deed transfer date in late July or early August of last year. I think they got a pretty good price using a reasonable guess at what their equity requirement might have been.

Nope, but if it is the Biltmore or Phoenician, way to go SMU and I want an Alumni discount next time I stay there.
