Rumor was that this was really the only guy on their radar after Miles. Not many proven coaches who have a good thing going are going to pick and go there.
Not knocking Michigan, but that team is going to really have to be rebuilt, and the coach is walking into very high expectations versus increasing level of competition, especially considering the Big 10 is about to ramp it up a little bit with the addition of Nebraska.

they wanted someone with some connection to MI and they got one. Now the question is whether they will give him 5 years to reshape his roster
