Haven't been to Austin past few years, is Mad Dog's still open? GO MUSTANGS!
Burger wars, re-visitedNo idea. Haven't eaten there in probably 15 years, but that still stands out as my most memorable burger.
I find the Pointe burger to most closely resemble the Mad Dog burger. That may be why I like it so much. Derail the Frogs!

Re: Burger wars, re-visitedthere is a place in NY evidently, which is a Mexican place. Nice website.

Burger wars, re-visitedUp-N- Smoke BBQ House - Keller Texas.
To me a burger starts with quality meat cooked with just a tiny hint of pink in the center. Flavorful yet moist. Second I don't want it molested with condiments . I want it on the side so I can adjust to suit my desires . Third and most importantly is the bun! It must be almost a wheat and grilled to perfection. Never thick and dry, then delivered warm and fresh. UpnSmoke delivers this Consistently.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedmentioning a place in Southlake reminds me of another good burger just down the road from there. Johnny B's in Southlake. Good place.

I like burgers. I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
