Even with our challenged team, I have not seen an SMU BB game in person since a game in Dallas against Arkansas about 1984 or 1985. It was played somewhere other than Moody if I recall (probably Reunion) and Arkansas scored 10 points before we ever got the ball across half court.

So I am anxious to watch again tomorrow. It will be my first game at Moody since 1971.***

WOW -- I think the only thing that has changed are the horses out front and the urinals. And there will only be about 1500 people there vs pre-Mavs /SWC days.

The more I recall, the mid 80's game may have been in Moody. I was sitting in an upper deck corner. During my school days we sat in the bleachers right behind the opposing team. I think the different view is making me think we were in a different arena.

I went to a UH happy hour tonight at the hotel.

Kendrick Washington is out. UH plays with eight guys. Zamal Nixon is the PG, Sr Guard Adam Brown (14 ppg), there's a strong freshman, Alandise Harris (6'5"), and Maurice McNeil (14 ppg) will probably face Papa. The team ate at Campisi's tonight.

It should be a great game and I assume some more SMU students will be in town.

I haven't been to a SMU BB game (Moody or otherwise) since 1978. It was the game the football team sat behind the Texas bench and gave Abe Lemon some coaching pointers. Somehow he didn't listen to us and by some miracle SMU won. That was a team without strong talent (our center was 6' 4"). It can happen.

It sure was. And a nice guy. Very modest. My roommate was a BB player so I got to know Reggie more than just a casual acquaintance.
