I don't know when they are going to the Pac 10, but Utah is ahead of us as well.

TCU just got another 4 star-DT Chuck Hunter from Louisiana. Plus they had a 4 star from 2009 enroll at midterm

Maybe I can get LSU to make him an offer and take him away from the toads. :D

could be - I haven't looked into it but he has double digit offers so we will see if he qualifies-a very high percentage of Louisiana kids especially from the South have grade issue. The 2009 kid was also from Louisiana, had grade issues but went to JUCO for 1 year and just enrolled at TCU. Note he qualified during that one non-playing year at JUCO or he would have had to stay 2 years and graduate from JUCO.

Where are you getting that he is a grade risk? Seems like he has a lot of offers to be too big a grade risk.

LSU has a lot of offers out to DTs and he is lower on the list. I wouldn't be surprised if LSU made him an offer before it is over.

I just tracked down he recently made a 20 ACT- not too bad. He also reportedly has between a 2.4 and 2.45 GPA. He'll probably qualify but he would need to keep his grades up.

Scout has him as a 3* FWIW.

ETA: TCU is definitely making a big name for themselves. Just yesterday I saw 2 kids in the mall wearing TCU t-shirts in Baton-frickin'-rouge. Image

TCU also got DT Jon Lewis to swich from Texas Tech to TCU. Double digits BCS offers from schools like Alabama, Oregon, Michigan etc. No. 62 recruit in Texas

Point of discussion: I'm not trying to pick a fight but I do think it's interesting when some of the kids list a ton of offers (BCS or otherwise). Now, is it fair to presume that a lot of these schools are no longer waiting for them because they have moved on with somebody else?

For example, like Lewis. Once he committed to Tech, wouldn't it be fair to think that Alabama and Oregon either moved on or offered somebody else who they thought was a bit better.

I would think that these BCS schools throw a ton of offers out there and then see who sticks -- like a funnel?

Do you think that's true?

Its often true-but with the top recruits does it matter. With the lesser recruits I think it happens all the time

BR - Let's just find out where we are on signing day. Good news though - esp. rated higher than conference mates.
