Can't believe someone mentioned TCU and the losers come flying to the board...
TCU = The Cuntts University

You'd think fans of the Rose Bowl champs would have something better to do than troll the board of a C-USA team.

Nevermind, I get it now.

If you want payback some day with UT, A&M or Tech then you want recruits to think that they can compete for BCS Bowls at SMU-just like TCU, Utah, and Boise proved before. And I'll tell you another thing-if that approach is not conveyed to recruits and that they can come to SMU to compete for BCS Bowls, Top 25 rankings and beating TCU on the field and recruiting rather than on message boards then we'll be losing a lot more recruits to TCU in the future.
Yes we do want recruits to believe a BCS win is possible at SMU! Not TCU! You are 100% wrong on this Stallion! Cheer for TCU all you want..I don't care.....in reality it doesn't affect the outcome but it is very S T U P I D to cheer for A crosstown rival. TCU's success does one thing for us....cost us players.
When TCU wins, TCU wins Not SMU! Ask Carter. By the way they've joined a BCS Conference.

Re: CARTER WALL
And you are oblivious to the FACT the team that a particular poster might state he favors to win a BCS Bowl Game on a rival's message board doesn't actually have an affect on the outcome a football game. Its really sad when people can't see the Forest from the Trees. Did you get your degree from SMU? We lose 1 3 star player that might arguably be based on a TCU victory in the Rose Bowl. There are about 275+ 3 star players in Texas-good chance we'll replace him with a 3 star. The fact is that about 85% of the Top 100 players in Texas do not consider any non-BCS school seriously if they have options. An even smaller number would stronly consider a CUSA team. Its essentialy that the perception of recruits is that a non-BCS school, a CUSA school, a private non-BCS school in a Metroplex area has potential access to BCS Bowls. You're argument wins the Daily Conventional Wisdom-Small Time Thinker Award of the Day.

I did and obviously your other education from Texas Tech hurt your ability to read/comprehend.
If you could read you wouldve seen my statement that our cheering has no effect either way. However it's stupid to cheer for a rival... Be stupid.... I don't care. However you are incorrect in saying TCU's success helps SMU.
Ask the recruits.

Did you have to change your handle because you got caught recruiting players for SMU on Recruit's Facebook pages

I guess I see this one a little differently. I do see the point of rooting for a non AQ team to beat a BCS team. I just think that logic applies when it is Boise playing Oklahoma, but TCU is our neighbor and direct competition for our recruits so it does not work for me. Even rooting for conference foes is lost on me, but I see the financial sense in doing so. Guess I am just a purist and would rather control our own destiny than rely on others to do it for us.

Re: CARTER WALL
Here's what I'm really concerned about-with Utah and TCU gone to the BCS and the MWC being watered down even more with the loss of BYU that this may close the door even further to non-BCS schools. Boise is still out there I'll admit and they have earned respect. I'm not sure any pther non-BCS school could get into the BCS playing in the watered down MWC, CUSA, etc. The only thing keeping the BCS from shutting the door is that TCU, Utah, Boise and in former times BYU have proven that they are can beat the best BCS programs on the field. Damn lucky to have that evidence to support the non-BCS argument. Its been a pretty big run of improbable upsets or statement games. If that worm turns-then we could go several years w/o a non-BCS school getting to the Top 6 to guarantee inclusion.

I'd love for a non-AQ other than TCU to be successful, but unfortunately TCU is successful.
Their success may slow our advancement now that we're starting to recruit the same players BUT their success demonstrates to high-level recruits that non-AQ is an option, and demonstrates to the public that non-AQ schools shouldn't be reduced to some kind if I-AA status.
Overall, another successful non-AQ in the last few years helps us more than the fact it is TCU hurts us.

I like to read these threads for a good laugh. The abundant amount of nonsense on these things is astonishing(something we have all been a part of). TCU blogs have exactly the same thing. No hating here fellas, just having fun. I grew up in Dallas rooting for the Ponies, and have nothing but respect for JJ and the football team. I wish SMU all the luck in the world in recruiting, and next season.
Carter Wall is a good player, but I agree with what some one mentioned earlier. It's not a huge deal. He is a good player, but there are other OL out there that match his size and capability. June is good at what he does for a reason, and I am sure he's got something up his sleeve.
No more trouble causing from this end. Just football talk.
