it appears he gets zilch-less than he would have gotten by simply quietly settling for contractual buyout. HaHaHa!

SI's Mandel explores Leech's difficult return to coaching.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/w ... index.html

After the latest round of hiring from the coaching carousel , schools aka the University Presidents/Board are really scared of hiring Leech due to his baggage. I know the guy is an offensive genius, but having a "high character" guy in place rules the day.

reading some of the other articles I discovered that SMU's own Rogge Dunn represented Tech's president in one of these issues.

Worked quickly too:
Dunn was retained to represent President Guy Bailey and assist the team of lawyers defending Texas Tech University. Dunn was able to get President Bailey dismissed from the lawsuit in only 35 days after he was sued.

I read TTU response to Leach's initial court action and didn't think Leach had a chance. TTU followed its publishes process and Leach violated the published rules. This isn't a surprise.

Well at least he still has the infamous 'taint fair argument if he can get the Texas Supreme Court to listen. Sovereign Immunity laws really are incredibly unfair but this was a predictable outcome from Day 1 based on Texas law. If any attorney ever tells you to sue the State of Texas or governmental entity you need to make sure you fit within very narrowly proscribed exceptions or you are going to be throwing money down a money pit before you ever get in front of a jury.
