What's Red Robin? Is that a regional chain?

I think I ate at one of those at the WAC tourney in fresno. The burger was good, but not amazing if I remember correctly. The place kinda had a chili's feel, but less busy and noisy.

Their marketing says "Gourmet burgers & spirits." Something like 30+ different kinds of burgers. I'm not sure if they're regional or what have you...if seen one in Colorado and the midwest, and now one in the valley.

No wonder Harvey was in such a good mood when I ate there on Sunday!

They're not top ten, but better than most.

Red Robin has been in the Metroplex for over 10+ years, but there are only 3 locations around. There is one in Grapevine that I remebered and one in Garland and Cedar Hill.

I like the Red Robin Burger with the fried egg and ham on it. The never ending basket of fries that comes with it aren't bad either.

I'm getting my fix at Keller's this weekend. How come that's never been rated?

By the way, if the Burger Committee is all going to the frog game in Fort Worth, there's a place over there called Kincaids that makes an outrageously good burger. Check it out.

When does SMU play @ Boston College? the Travel Channel had "best places to pig out" & one was a burger place in Boston...the "Reilly Burger": three lbs of beef & 5 lbs. of fries. I'll be there if anyone else will. Meanwile, in the near future, I'd be up for checking out the place in Cowtown.

I'll be there to watch the Ponies squash the Frogs, and I'm definitely up for a burger before or after the game. Maybe we should coordinate a mass invasion of PonyFans and make the place an SMU pre-game place!
Anyone know where it is, or how close it is to the stadium?

Houston's has a pretty good burger!

Burgers are big and juicy, toasted bun. The chuck is ground in-house daily

And the fries are excellent too!

Krystal Co coming to Dallas

Postby PonySnob » Fri Sep 17, 2004 12:14 pm

Saw an article in the DMN today about Krystal Co. coming to Dallas. The Chattanooga, Tennessee chain's burgers are steamed, and very similar to White Castle. You will see their stores all over the South.

Who the hell steams a burger? Hard to re-create the charcoal flavor that way, isn't it?

Not saying it's bad - just sounds weird.

And Special_Delivery: are you on the Houston's payroll? That's some serious shilling you're doing for them!

As an FYI, Krystal's burgers are very similar to those at White Castle.
