Yes and the fact that it's one of the top 10 busiest airports in the World won't hurt the effort

Just watched the news, DFW cancelled most flights today, playing catch up this afternoon. Love Field pretty bad also.

Roads are getting much better. By tomorrow shouldn't be hard getting around.

Hopefully, it gets above freezing tonight, so that the ice/snow that has melted today does not refreeze tomorrow causing black ice.

It won't, high of about 20 today, and is going to drop down to 10 or single digits tonight!

We won't hit freezing until Friday.

What should have been a decent crowd is now up in the air with this weather. Everything is about to freeze overnight. (Overnight lows in single digits in Dallas! Wow.)
Hopefully the students will be a little stir-crazy by tomorrow night and ready to walk over to Moody for a few hours and make some noise.

Let me just say this; the best college environments in all of college ball are when schools get snowed in, and the regulars can't come. That means the older guys stay at home. AT some point tomorrow, SMU should announce to the student body that everyone gets in free and can sit anywhere they damn well please. Give out free pizzas or something, and pack the place w/drunk, stir-crazy kids.

I saw Maryland vs Wake Forest in 05 in like 6 ft of snow. It was only students, and it couldn't have been worse for Wake Forest. No fat cats sitting on their hands, just loaded students surrounding the court. Same thing happened to Maryland a few back at Va Tech. Huge advantage for the home team
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Watched a Georgetown game this time of the year in 1971 in the old gym in the middle of a considerable snow storm. Fat cats stayed home and the students went crazy in that small antiquated facility. Great atmosphere with Georgetown crushing Nova as I recall. Your point is well taken and there is something to be said for a snow storm and some liquid refreshment.
