Posted this under the Levingston thread but though it might go well on this thread.

By ratings, SMU signed JC Ryan Clark but he never made the campus. He was a 4*, 5.8. Of those who made the campus at 5.7 or higher since 2003: 2010: Daryl Fields (5.7) 2009: Darius Johnson (5.7)
This class has a 5.8 and two 5.7s! WOW
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
When I look back at past classes, it is clear that (a) we are in a different league to where we were 5 years ago, and (b) this year continues to show great improvement in recruiting. I always think positive but I think in the next couple of years we are going to romp through our schedule.
i dont know about Romp - but i think UCF and SMU have a chance to meet on several future occasions in the championship game. Need to get it in Dallas next time.

Remember, this class will not be ready for at least 2 years. This whole recruiting situation was to build a solid winning program in 5 years. We had good fortune earlier than expected; however, classes like this one clearly demonstrate the up grade in talent and steps necessary to solidify a program. Coaching staff did a great job operating in many cases with the short end of the stick.
How exciting. I looked on smumustangs.com a couple of times at work today and couldn't wait to get home to see the list! Congratulations to the coaches for such wonderful work and congratulations to our newest Mustangs!!! KICK 'EM MUSTANGS!!!!!!!!!
