Road trip to San Antonio ?Did anyone else at the Signing party hear Gary Cogill mention a possible move of the Aggie game to San Antonio (to be accurate he only hinted but did not indicate it was a done deal).
This may have been posted before but does anyone have any updated info ? A road trip to San Antonio to start the 2011 season would be pretty cool.
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?I couldn't hear a damn word of what he said. Awful sound system.
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?It's still up in the air, but I would much rather go to S.A. than aggyland, plus it would
be in the a.c.
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?i didn't hear that. but i would agree it would be better than BCS.
Derail the Frogs!
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?Come on down. That would be wonderful. The aggies do like to play here as they have had several games in the Alamodome.
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?Why is the world would they do that?...they get the gate reciepts at home and am sure SMU wouldnt be a great draw at San Antonio....yet.
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?Maybe a compromise to do the same thing the next year instead of coming to Ford.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?they could need a 2012 Home Game-so they move the 2011 game from Kyle to San Antonio plus a TV and increased payout( ie expensive tickets) and move the 2012 game from Ford to Kyle. Whatever happens you can bet SMU getrs screwed. With the Big 12-2 they will have some years with 5 and some with only 4 conference home games

Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?Yeah we know they are going to do whatever they can to weasel their way out of coming to Ford.
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?Yep Aggies have only 4 Conference home games in 2012 and 5 in 2011-that makes some sense. Aggies right now have 7 Home games in 2012 plus a neutral game against Arkansas.

Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?
There was a thread about this from a month or two ago when this was first floated. This is all about A&M getting out of their trip to Ford Stadium. ![]()
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?
They sell out here when they play here. Plus it is a great recruiting tool. It also makes sense they would rather come here than play at Ford. These are the only reasons I can think of. From SMU's point of view we are better off in San Antonio than at A&M.
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?Once again SMU pull defeat from the jaws of victory...
Let's see. Padron a Senior will play the farmers and froggies at our place and the cubbies and middies at their place..plus we get southern miss here in 2012. The schedule sets up perfect...but no let's screw it up by placating the farmers and playing our home game in SA this year giving them a home field advantage just like we did in the the mid 90's although we did tie them. I'd rather they pay their way out of the contract and we schedule UTSA...... Peruna's law once again in effect....."what can go wrong will go wrong." Ugh! ![]()
Re: Road trip to San Antonio ?I have been wondering whether if the game is moved to SA the date would also change to either Thursday or Friday night for TV purposes.
Road trip to San Antonio ?It's an ESPN deal
