Who are you and what have you done with SMU?From the Tulane press notes....
"On the season, SMU is first in C-USA and 14th in the NCAA in field goal percentage (.483), first in C-USA and 10th in the NCAA in 3-point percentage (.405), and tops in C-USA and 18th in the NCAA in free throw percentage (.756). The Mustangs are 13-2 when shooting better than their opponent from the field and 6-2 when shooting at least 50 percent from the floor. SMU also leads the league in scoring defense at 61.6 points allowed per game."
Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?we may never lose again
reverse jinx “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones
Who are you and what have you done with SMU?The CEO coach experiment looks to be a success. All hail dual coaches!
"I think Couchem is right."

Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?Every single time I read those statistics, it brings a smile to my face. We are headed toward the promised land, sooner or later (I'm thinking way sooner than anyone thought).

Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?SMU is also 18th in personal fouls per game.
Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?and number 1 in my heart.
Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?First, I love this team and what they're doing. Second, they scare me to death b/c they have limited talent and I'm now expecting them to win. That's a recipe for crushing me

Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?
I feel the exact same way. Expectations are a terrible thing; it's like playing with fire. On the flip side, screw it. I've been a fan for 5 years now, and this is the first time that I am genuinely excited for this team because we have a chance to win every game. sent. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?After Tulane, we will get a very realistic test of this team. UTEP and Houston on the road. I think we can beat UTEP (perhaps only at home) and we certainly can beat Houston. Doing it on the road will be a very strong indicator of how well this team has improved since ECU and how disciplined and motivated they can play on the road.
Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?Jury is still out. Throw out the non-conference schedule and judge the conference results at the end of the season. Four games does not a season make.
Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?
Well when intelligent people with knowledge of the talent level were predicting 1 or maybe 2 conference wins all season, a 4 game in-conference winning streak makes a hell of a lot of the season.
Re: Who are you and what have you done with SMU?
1) Why would anyone throw out the non-conference schedule? It sucked, but it's not like we're ever going to load up OOC. We'll ditch a few patsies, and pick up a few mediocre teams. It is what it is, no reason to harp on it. 2) We're 5-3 at the half way point, and many didn't give us 2 wins in conference on the year, much less 5 at the half-way point. It's a New Years miracle already 3) This year was about developing systems and statistically we're ridiculous. “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones
