Worst Super Bowl EverI was told by a degenerate gambler yesterday that Vegas took a beating on an all time record amount of bets for the SB including length of time it takes to sing the National Anthem,
How many times Joe & Troy would say Farve and other off the wall stuff .
Re: Worst Super Bowl EverI hope it does not put Vegas out of business, I am heading there in a couple of weeks. I would imagine they are anxiously awaiting my arrival in order that they can recoup their loses.

Re: Worst Super Bowl EverIt's just Global Warming guys. No big deal.
Re: Worst Super Bowl Evergame was alright...amazed at the number of folks that were dinged and hurt during the game...not as bad as the hard turf at Texas Stadium, but Woodson's injury was hard to watch on replay.
Would love to see a singer sing the NA as something other than a negro spiritual. Folks that are far more knowledgeable about vocal production than I have commented that 'making the song your own' often reveals the lack of ability to sing the song as written. Forgetting words happens...that is why there are notes/teleprompters, etc. The weather was an issue that became the necessary lead for the media, when there were no folks making news otherewise...unless you think Ben at a piano bar at 2 AM is the reason for multiple picks. The seating fiasco has me baffled. It will be interesting to hear how this is resolved, and how many folks consider go the legal route to gain satisfaction. overall, 7 out of 10, IMHO stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: Worst Super Bowl Ever
yea, well....certainly doesn't mean it's right. Team stays in Irving, practices in Dallas, NFL Experience in Dallas, Media Row in Dallas, Game in Arlington, Media day in Arlington. Other team stays and practices in FW. If I were a fan or media, I would much prefer New Orleans, San Antonio, Atlanta, where everything is close together. Pain in the @ss if you ask me.
Re: Worst Super Bowl EverThey just need to stop all the regional B.S. and tell Ft Worth to pound sand. Put everything in Dallas where the press, fans, teams and parties want to be - instead of forcing our regionalism b.s down everyone elses throats. Did you see the hats that said SB 45/North Texas - what a joke.
I liked the Peas, Slash, Usher and the rest of the half time show and most of the commercials. Christine aguillera is a no talent tramp. That girl that sang god bless was awesome. Just get the latest and greatest good looking country chick to do the national anthem - do everything in Dallas, tell Jerry to keep his ugly, slimy mug shut and maybe the ghost of Tom Landry takes mercy on us next time - and oh yeah - try not being so greedy and trying to add more seats then the stadium is designed for - jerks. Mark it down - we will host again in 5 years.
Re: Worst Super Bowl Ever
True, the excessive regionalism isn't necessary and really took away from the event. We can host all the events on the Dallas County side of the region with several events near light rail stations. The key is to get Arlington to play ball since their stadium is necessary for the bid. FW isn't needed at all. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: Worst Super Bowl EverI think the league just tells arlington - look, if you play ball it is coming again. If you get all pissy because we dont like all teh events spread out over creation and we dont like to say we are coming to arlington - when nobody knows or cares where that is, then it is going elsewhere.
Any questions?

I've always done well at Guess Which Hand and War Good Luck.
Re: Worst Super Bowl Everthis debacle w/ the 1250 fans that didn't get their seats is going to haunt this superbowl, just you wait.
there is a lawyer from Tampa who was among the group of 400 that was crammed into one of those field boxes 6 hrs after the madness began that didnt have any clear view of the field. he was interviewed on the dan lebatard radio show in miami today and he pointed out some interesting FACTS. 1. he doesn't know why the NFL is spinning it that only 400 people were affected, the number is 1250 and there is no qualification to that. 2. the NFL personnel invented the idea of an offsite ticket services location for problems to be taken care of that was supposedly located at the ball park in arlington, most of them walked all the way ove there and there was no sch thing. the staff there denied having any knowledge of what they were told. 3. to date (being today) the NFL has not actually done any of the things that they said they have. 4. the NFL is trying to get out ahead of this w/ a media blitz and not being truthful in this matter in the least...the only half truth is the compensation of 3x the ticket "face" value which is NOT what a lot of people paid for theirs...this guy was lucky enough to only pay 800 for his and his wife's tickets each...many of the other paid market prices. in my personal opinion the NFL should reimburse all 1250 fans at 3x's the highest MARKET value of the tickets purchase because that is the REAL value of those tickets. the whole face thing is such a greasy sleazy way to do this. they should be given lower level tickets to one super bowl of their choosing in the future w/o any expiration, all of thier travel expenses should be paid for in the case of this trip and in the case of the future TBD super bowl. and that is to say the least. forget what i said about a haunting, this is going to be a PR black eye for Goodell personally for a long time to come. the nfl promised to deliver a product to these customers and failed in every way. i think that this fiasco underscores how little the NFL cares for it's patrons when push comes to shove...the only reason they were offered any kind of compensation was because tis got out to the media, what a bunch of scam artists. if you would like to hear what exactly his account was you can listen here http://www.790theticket.com/lebatard.aspx it is the paul kutcher interview, just scroll half way down the page and you'll see it "There ain't nothing you can't solve with one more beer"
Re: Worst Super Bowl Ever
What about how many times Troy A. would use the word "great" - the one and only adjective in his vocabulary? (irritating) He has watered down the meaning of that word to the point of being able to use it to describe Dwaine Caraway. (the name is Favre)
Re: Worst Super Bowl EverHad drinks last night with two Cowboy execs. They were furious with the NFL. They asked the basic question, "how can we (Cowboy personnel) accommodate and handle 80-90 thousand every weekend and not be competant to handle the visitors for the Super Bowl?" The NFL took over the entire process and left their people out, the security people were largely unpaid volunteers, not the normal professionals, even Jerry and his VIP's had to wait 45 minutes to get into the stadium as all the club and suites entrances were closed and everyone had to got through general admission entrances. The security perimeter around the stadium was so wide--distant from the stadium, that people attempting to get into the stadium, sometimes had to walk almost a mile just to get in the proper entrance. Half of the people were standing in mud for over an hour just trying to get in. Obviously, they don't feel responsible, simply embarased and feel the NFL and its organization should be held acccountable. The NFL people are still in the stadium attempting to restore it to "original condition". What they discribed was a nightmare of damages caused by ignoring the agreements by the NFL people.
Never been a big Cowboy fan, but I do know these people and believe what they are saying.
Re: Worst Super Bowl Everthe only thing nice paul kutcher had to say in his interview was how accommodating the Cowboys personnel here and how apologetic they were.
he also mentions that they got there at 1230 because the gates were supposed to open at noon...they didnt open until at least 115. "There ain't nothing you can't solve with one more beer"
