Any chance rinebold could join him? We need a receiver coach who has played the position and can coach it and recruit guys who can play it. The run and shoot has been a major disappointment at SMU. The service academy teams with below average athletes have been able to shut it down!

SMUUTH - What? Who went to NFL last year and how many good receivers do we have and who is a good recruiter.... Right.

As for Mc Knight, he has been a great coach here at SMU. He knows the o side of the game and took the Special T. job and did his best.

After 20+ seasons of being quiet we now have fans with zero patience. It makes no sense to me. Coach Reinebold is part of the solution, not the problem. As Stallion stated, success starts with this years recruiting class. Anything before this years recruits are seniors is gravy. As much as Stallion gets criticized, and he does come off as a jerk sometimes, he is one of the few patient fans that seem to know what they are talking about.

I hope they at least interview Eric Metcalf or Ricky Hunley.

Reinbold would be a great fit for the special teams position.

Glad he is gone.

Not a smart coach and lacks control.

Lets find a good replacement.

I am truly going to miss Dennis. He's a real good guy and coach. Very cool to be around. Wow...I'm sad he's leaving.

Not to mention you had Matt our 1st string hurt most of the season, reason for short kickoffs. Certainly didn't help. Lots of FG misses it seemed like at very important times (UCF, Army). The Tech 61 yarder was a special teams highlight. All in All - Special Teams, regardless of excuses was about a C or C-

Did we not redshirt a K from Cali?

How about giving Rocket Ismail a call? There's a guy who could recruit... lots of charisma and a good guy. Great punt returner, currently coaching in a SLAMBALL league and does a lot of public speaking.

My guess, and it is purely a guess is that the new hire will be someone that Jones has known for years. May not be a special teams coach. He can always move coaches around as he has done in the past.
