I would have to go with Whole Hog if you like BBQ. If not cheeburger cheeburger may be good, never been. We have a new 5 Guys that Ponyte tried and liked in LR. I found one in North Little Rock also but did not fall in love with it. If you want a good burger, Arkansas Hamburger Company has probably the best around here. Biggest thing is to get you into town. Let me know ahead of time and we can get Ponyte and maybe Arkpony to join us.

sounds like a plan. Most likely early to mid-march.

Our landlord in Little Rock is an SMU alum

Capitol has undergone a multimillion dollar ($25,000,000 I believe) renovation. I have not been in there since completed but it is raved about. When I was in High School (many years ago) the Capitol Hotel was where you went to slip the bell hop some money and get a prostitute. Or so I heard.

I live in the DC area where we close school at even the threat of possible snow. I teach at a for profit University here in the DC area and it started sleeting outside and the campus dean came to class and said you can shut down class whenever you want. My students bolted faster than you can say jackrabbit. I guess it wasn't a very exciting class that night. Funny thing, the sleet stopped about a mile away from campus. Sweet. Turner comes from a deep south background where they never see snow and probably its a bit foreign to him. Did DISD close? Usually the colleges around here follow the high schools for closings.

Still have some friends who are undergrads, and they said the reason SMU has been hesitant to cancel classes is b/c of the faculty. Some of them are getting irritated at losing class time (especially T/TH classes, apparently).
There were also weird rumors flying around about Spring Break, apparently, which led to this bizarre statement from the provost posted on the school's website yesterday:
SMU is developing plans to address the loss of class time as a result of the recent ice storm and toward that end, I will be communicating further with members of the faculty. There will be no change to SMU’s Spring Break March 12-20. We appreciate the flexibility and cooperation of the campus community during this very unusual time for Texas weather.

My understanding is that an email just went out to the students that a professor fell and broke a hip at SMU. Any confirmations? :(
It makes sense to me.

If DISD closed, SMU should have cancelled classes. Not smart. That's what Saturdays and Sundays are for. Making up missed classes if need be. Missed T/Th classes on Sat. Missed MWF on Sun. And if the rooms are in use on Sat./Sun. for adult ed or other classes, move those around.
