How are the roads?

Postby Mitch McConnell » Wed Feb 09, 2011 3:28 pm

...75 from downtown Dallas...and around school.

I'm re-considering because everything has melted off around my neighborhood in Tarrant County.

We didnt have near the precipitation they thought, then the clearing, a bit of sun, and heavy traffic has cleared them pretty good.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

My ties are Minnesota. I was born in Texas and grew up out West. I never said I was on board with this time of year.

You spend a week up in Minneapolis where the temp is between -5-12 and mix in the wind chill and tell me how much you're digging that scene?

Central was clear about an hour ago, and the sidestreets in and around Greenville Ave. are in decent shape too. Much better than the roads last week.

The side roads appear to be all clear. The ice has melted and the streets have dried out.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the 2 block trip to join y'all at Milo's - at home sick. Hope you drive down Mitch - and I hope the students make up for the lack of us old timers.

I know. But I had some meetings that took me up until 5:45, and to be honest, I just kind of lost the energy to run over there.

In fact, a friend called me and told me he had a ticket for me. Maybe Tulsa on 2/19 but that's going to depend on the 4th grade post who is learning how to block shots Dikembe Mutombo style....LOL.

We're working on the finger wave.
