Doh on Ch. 11 Sportscast at 6 p.m.!

Just saw it. Unbelievable. A local TV station actually giving some air time to the Mustangs men's basketball team!

Here's the transcript:

"SMU has one of the hottest teams in Conference USA. The Ponies have won 5 straight, their longest conference win streak since the '99-2000 season. They play first place UTEP tomorrow in El Paso. The Mustangs are 15 and 8 overall. A nice improvement over last year when they won just 14 games the entire season. (cut to sound bite from Coach Matt Doherty) "It's definitely a neat feeling in the air. I think there's a certain energy that you get waking up in the morning, coming to work, coming to the gym, that we haven't had before and that's exciting to be a part of it."

He already has done stuff like that. Happened last year at Memphis. The Tigers fans and media contingent were pissed. I thought it was hilarious, though.
