What is the lowdown on UTEP?
I'd be pleasantly surprised if we get out of EP with a win - I don't think we've won there in years?

UTEP are pretty strong. Their 2 losses were away to UAB and Tulsa (a one point game) but they have not had some of their tougher games. I expect we will lose but don't rule out winning. We played them great last year out there

Randy Culpepper is their all world PG. The kid is 5'9 with shoes on, but can jump out of the friken gym. Very very talented. They are 8 guys deep. Seem to be fairly balanced scoring team. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketb ... tep-miners In conference play, they have been involved in fairly low scoring games, so it wouldn't surprise me if this was a 60-55 game.

They are 35th in the nation in rebounding, which scares the bejesus out of me. I'm sure we have been working on getting rebs. Pop and Rob both need to get double digit rebs Saturday night. cannot give them extra possessions.

Let's just shoot 70 percent, then they won't have many rebounds to grab!
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

I am glad he isn't much taller than Jfrog. That has been an issue with his height.

SMU's tempo seemed to really bother UTEP last season @ their gym. UTEP won 49-45. Hopefully we will drive them nuts again. Stopping Culpepper is the key imo.

I think that was an overtime game as well. SMU lead comfortably most of the game, but blew it in the end and the game went to overtime and we lost. We seem to usually stay with UTEP, we just seldom break through.
