45 to 45...going in to OT. Guess I'll find out in the morning who wins this thing. One thing for sure...ain't neither one of them got much of a defense to crow about.

In OT, NWU misses a 25-yd. FG for the win; next possession by TCU...NWU blocks the FG by TCU.

I hope Coach Burns was taking notes.

Oh, you can rest assured the tape from that game already has been broken down. And remember, Coach Burns helped Cincinnati put up a lot of points on those guys a few years ago. His schemes will be fine - we just need the players to execute what he calls.
As anti-TCU as I am, that was one of the more entertaining games I've seen in a long time. Thank god football's back. Baseball was killing me.

We run a similar scheme to Northwestern. If we can execute and our line plays as well as NW's did last night, we might do very well in this game. We'll see how good our D is on Saturday. Hopefully our kickers will do better than NW. 5 missed field goals. Ouch.

Was Northwestern's kicker injured or something? He just couldn't seem to direct that ball anywhere but straight ahead. I would hate to be him this morning.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

If you are the coach at Northwestern, you start a campus wide search today for a new FG kicker. I am not sure that a kicker should miss 5 FG's all season unless they are all 50+ yards, let alone 5 in one game.
