There's no question that is what needed to happen to a young QB who showed some athleticism and some promise under the most adverse of circumstances as a true freshman last year. Why the coach decided otherwise is beyond comprehension.

For what it is worth, I am in the camp of staying with Phillips regardless, and publically stating so.

What further puzzles me is my understanding was that Rusty Burns would be running the offense this year with very little (if any) input from Coach Bennett.

Man, you're going to pull a hamstring jumping to conclusions. Let's see what happens tomorrow night before we all freak out that the quarterback sky is falling again.

Man you need to brush up on your reading comp--the coach has already decided otherwise than to try to give the kid some confidence by saying: "Phillips is the starter, he's not coming out, he will play the entire game" like the other poster suggested. It was in the paper the other day when instead he talked about rotating three quaterbacks or did you miss it?

Last night TCU coach said he was going to change qbs after the first few series, but then stuck with the starter the whole game.....except for the one play he sat out with due to his chin strap.

Yeah, just force the other coach to waste practise time preparing for the other QB(s) at the very least.

NPR is as biased in their approach to "reporting" and programming as anyone. You need to get some fresh air somewhere out of NoCal. Go to an SMU gfame and get back to Dallas. It'll do you good.

Sadly...the air pollution index in Big D sucks right now.
