We were outplayed and tulsa did a good job, but as giddyup pointed out, the refs did suck. End of 1st half walker got his man in the air and should've gotten 3 shots ..no call, Tulsa gets two on the other end.2nd half papa gets mugged, no call, Tulsa gets a 3. That's a 10 point swing.

In all honesty, this was my first game of the year. I expected to see a lot more students, though.

our students are a complete and total embarassment. They are total wussies. The boys are girls.

You dont blow off a 2:00 game agaisnt a good team when your team is fighting for top billing in the conference. These kids are missing what college is all about. They are a sad waste of oxygen.

Thanks to the E's for a great, loud turn out and to the lambda chis - although they couldnt seem to stay to the end for some reason and didnt do much.

Tough loss. Couldn't really track it as I was in youth sports all day.

I hope to be there Wednesday for Rice.

I hope Planet Hollywood has a Time Warner feed for the Rice game.

I thought we had the shots to win this game, but they did not go down. Papa had some blown lay-ups and of course, the Harp one really hurt, but we still have the shots we wanted. That said, and I know I am biased, I thought the referees were absolutely shocking. End of the first half, Mike Walker was getting treatment akin to that meted out innocent monks by the vikings, still managed to get his three point shot off and the refs call nothing.

And then their was the Hurtt walk......

Just terrible.

The not called traveling calls were idiotic....Hurst or whatever doesn't even use a pivot foot...he moves both feet and drop steps into the basket....no established pivot foot and they don't call it.

Papa had a horrible game (5 for 14)....his moves to the right and then using his left to attempt the shots were elementary mistakes. But he NEVER blocks out and their 15 offensive rebounds was evidence of that. He will never be a force after college with his weak block out techniques. Put a friggin butt on SOMEone, for heavens sakes. And his offensive moves last year were better I think...he makes his moves but doesnt drop step or up and under into a closer shot, he always ends up 3 feet out instead of next to the basket which makes for a better % shot. I will leave him alone as this was NOT his day, and having the Harp/Mangrum duo as his other down low guys sure didn't assist Papa in the paint. Use Miles or our 7 footer or a few fouls anyway.

Their bodies and our bodies did not match up. They were taller, thicker, and more physical. Looks like we need upgrades just like football has been doing. I am still impressed with the motion offense and the pressure defense. This group is a hustling bunch of kids that is over performing in my opinion. I hope the ineligibles will be a step up but it looks like we still have a ways to go to catch up with the rest. I really enjoyed watching them play even with a loss and can see good things brewing for the future.
