Game Day - MoodyWould be nice to see a decent non-student crowd there today.
Beat the snot out of Tulsa.
Re: Game Day - MoodyNot even a mention of the SMU game in the DMN, but a big front page spread on the 'Jimmer' show over in Ft Worth as the NCAA's leading scorer from BYU is in town to play TCU. Sold out game.
Re: Game Day - Moody
Was very disappointed to not see a mention in the DMN, oh well, lets put together a nice win and get some good coverage tomorrow! Go Ponies!!!!!! Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: Game Day - MoodyWho cares about pub? Just keep winning

Re: Game Day - Moody
Dude it would be nice to let potential fans know there is a game today over at Moody...fans ignite the players and they win because of that. How does SMU get a fan base if no one knows there is a game?....except us PF.
Game Day - MoodyGoing to head over to O in a few

Game Day - Moody
I don't know why I thought it was wednesday and dollar beer day WTF
Re: Game Day - Moody
looked like a "few" more non-students showed up, but no more students than usual. Announced crowd was only 2,600. Major disappointment considering how well the guys had been playing and how important this game was
Re: Game Day - Moody
Not only did we not manage that, the students (for the most part) were NO-SHOWS. I guess the SAEs were required to go since they "rotate" the school spirit requisite. Same ol', same ol'.
Re: Game Day - Moodygoing to Moody and/or Ford to support your classmates is still not the "in thing to do" for the majority of SMU students. We may have to put a top 25 caliber team on the court/field before that will happen.
Re: Game Day - MoodySucks and is disappointing that to so many of us, gameday at Moody or Ford is more of a priority than to a fair number of students. Wonder what happens to the fan base when these 18-21 year olds are in their 30s/40s/50s
Re: Game Day - Moody
Yes, in 10 years or so we'll see. The majority of our diehard fans in the meatball room are 60+
Re: Game Day - Moodyit's going to be critical to SMU's athletic future to get more of today's (and the next several year's) students interested. The miserable 20 year stretch SMU athletics suffered through resulted in a student body that for the most part could care less about sports. That's going to be tough to make up for. Hopefully that "lost to athletics" group will be giving to the university because they value their education, but I don't expect them to be joining the Mustang Club or attending games with their families.
we have to get the students who live on campus involved and hope they remain involved as young alums...and also need to keep building the product to the point some of the long lost alumni will return as well as some avid sports fans who live in the area and might get interested in what is going on over at SMU
