It just wasn't our night. Simple layups and shots didn't fall. On several occasions the refs non-call on our offense turned into a 3 ball for Tulsa. I didn't know we had a shot at Clarkson, would have been nice to have him.

As Hoopmanx/PonyDoh pointed out - we don't have anyone that can create on their own when we have to. JFrog or Haynes can run down an open lane sometimes, but hardly off the dribble.

Our bench is really bad for points, we have Dia, Rob, and Jfrog, sometimes Walker then nothing...Mangrum must have lost his confidence, we could use him for 10 points a game. Alex P - what are you doing out there son, you look lost. Where is Clinks - doghouse??

the missed dunk must have shaken Mangrum's confidence; he passed on an open 3 at crunch time; I was a little surprised by that because we were down and needed to score quickly and we were having to work very hard for any open looks.

Also, we can't beat a team like this with JFrog TO/Assist. Unfortunately one of his worst games. The Jfrog to Dia feeds were off yesterday. Great little effort to bring it to 65-61 or whatever. I think he scored 4-5 points with steals, etc in that short span.

Samarrippas turned it over several times coming down the stretch but I thought it was out of a sense of urgency...not unlike what we saw at the end of the UTEP game. He was also a wild man defensively and picked up several steals in that same stretch. I wish everyone could match his intensity. I even thought it was a good idea when he made the steal and immediately jacked up that 3 in the closing seconds. Kid has a great court awareness. A true PG in my book.

Can't wait to see what kind of player he might become when he has more talent around him. He's going to help make a lot of guys look good.

Wonder if we might see cotton at the 2 next year w jfrog starting at the point. A year of experience running the o might go a long way.

No question that Jfrog will be the PG but having Cotton as an additional option at PG against 6'6 PGs like Tulsa had will be nice. He will be even better next year and will get better at attacking as he matures. He just has to study what JJ Berea does for the Mavericks...they both have similar styles.
And yes we didn't match up well with Tulsa but we do have some bodies on the bench that could have knocked some boys around some........We only had 5 points off the bench yesterday, which is way unacceptable.
Pats is totally out of confidence out there...he has NO swagger and looks like a boy amoung men. I don't know if he will ever get into the rotation next year with how he looks out there.

Losh is definitely a step or two slow physically and mentally right now. I'm surprised he's this far out of whack.

I'd imagine Jfrog will stay on as PG, w/Cotton getting a lot of run at the 1 & 2. Manuel will help w/length at PG as well. Gives us nice wingspan in the zone, easier to close out

I think you're right. He had a wide open look and passed on the shot. The dunk wasn't even close. He hit the rim with the middle of the ball.

papa and mangrum both missed dunks that could have changed the outcome if they had just used the glass. I know sometimes it pays to go in there hard, but we gotta play smart when we were struggling to stay with them the entire game.

i like jfrog but put me in the camp that thinks he will get significant competition for the job next year - it is no given he will win that job in my view. As hard as he plays there is just no making up for his lack of wingspan and heigth - a hard charging point that can distribute from a higher spot and be harder to get around on D would help a ton.

Agreed.

Hopefully some of the other fraternities will grow some nads and come to a game.
