Bennett Is A Stud! & That's What I'm Talkin' Bout'

Postby Bo 17 » Sat Sep 04, 2004 10:41 pm

Mike Leach is such a piece of Sh#[email protected] love our coach who has such class unlike that PUNK. I am listening to it on the webcast and it makes me proud to be a Mustang. I love it that we will not take any crap...especially in our HOUSE!!!!

Gentlemen...I think this is the start of a great season. This is the type of thing that you can build a season on...these young men need to see that their coach is in the war to the end with them and Bennett did just that. I respect him and I believe we will see the team respond in a positive way from this.

Does seem to be the best possible ending to a lost game... am hoping he doesn't end up with a fine or suspension.

Was the kind of move you couldn't have designed better to inspire.

Could not agree more. Unbelievable. That is the most chicken**** crap I have ever seen at the end of a football game. 14 points was just not enough for Leach. I applaud Bennett, and I hope TT goes 4-7.

No Fine....

Postby Bo 17 » Sat Sep 04, 2004 10:56 pm

There will be no fine, but I agree with you that this was the best possible ending to what happened tonight.

I did not hear the entire game, but it seems that the turnovers killed us. I also belive that our inexperience in winning hurt us. When a team has gone so long without a win, it is hard to win a game like this. I believe that we need to get one under our belts and then we can win in this kind of game.

Hats off to the SMU fans who booed Leach big time at the end of the game. Showed a little backbone, just like Bennett, I like that. Leach is a punk.

The game is played on the field. Your coach lost and had a tantrum, you applaud that?

No, nobody is applauding that we lost, they are applauding Phil Bennett for having the balls to let Leach know what a low class piece of $h!t he is. Coaches that have class, don't keep trying for the endzone when a game is over as this one was.

Leach preaches that our offense should score every time we have the football. He has been consistent with his philosophy. Shame on Bennett for going Tyson on him.

We've had teams (ie. Nebraska) run it up on us before as well. Tough, sure, but we took our licks like men. Learned from it. Our coaches didn't lose control like babies and act out criminally after the game.

Will Leach press charges?

There is something in sports called sportsmanship. Sportsmanship. Look it up. Leach (what an appropriate name) and Billy Tubbs never learned it. Bennett just gave Leach a little private tutoring, that's all. When you are up by 14 with 2 seconds to go you don't try to score. You take a knee and shake the other guy's hand. They should understand this even in west Texas. I can't believe I have to explain this. You don't run up the score. If you do, don't get mad if somone gives you a pop in the nose. You asked for it.

You're right, there is something in sports called sportsmanship and it's obviously something that Bennett has very little of. You don't go and attack the other team's coach after a loss, that's as classless as you can get.

"Attack"? He didn't throw a punch at Leach. He gave him a good ol' fashioned Texas tongue-lashing! Besides...Leach was hiding behind one of the TT players. Chicken.

Oh the irony of a Tech fan calling someone a poor sport. That's like Bill Clinton calling out Kobe Bryant for cheating on his wife.

Tech fans,

Leach deserved what he got, period. If you have sportsmanship issues, you need to take it up with your ball players who decided to start throwing punches.

If there are going to be any fines or lawsuits, it's going to be against your players. Talking, no matter how loud, isn't against the law. Assault, however, is.

Bo,

You ready to suit up? If you haven't made it back to Dallas to meet Coach B., you really need to put that on your agenda.
