"There are plenty in the SEC who would easily say goodbye to Vandy. Baylor and Iowa St are vulnerable as are Wake, Duke and Northwestern."

Don't see that. You always need your patsies & pansies for easy wins. Besides, if they weren't subsidized for losing, everyone would be having 7-4 & 6-5 seasons. Then what superconference are we talking about? LOL!!! The whole thing is so ludicrous that in today's ridiculous poltical & athletic climate, this stupid idea could actualy happen. LOL!!!
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

This would really result in a second war between the states. Other than Penn State who else would be guaranteed a shot in the entire Northeast? In Florida there would be only two teams--Fl and Fl State, in Texas only 2-3 teams, maybe even Tech would be left out, Yet California is planning on having four? And Arizona two? If BYU is included then the great states of Utah, Washington and Oregon would each have two. Indiana would have three, while Penn, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Ohio would have only one? I beleive a real stink would be raised by the politicians.
Funny how there would be almost no effect on the states in the far west or Pac 10--ever wonder whose proposal this is?

Good point Mex.

What's really crazy is that this absurdity could actually happen if someone or some group very soon doesn't finally stand up to all this BS! It's bizarre how it even came to light.

It's like robbing a bank & you tell the bank about it in advance but then the bank says OK - come on in - it's yours. Only in today's times that our side could actually say that??!!

SEC won't get rid of Vandy without adding another private school. Same with Big 12 and Baylor. Same with Big Ten and NWestern.

Having a private school member allows conferences to keep their records private.

I still think 4 conferences of 20, with each conference having 4 divisions of five teams. play your division every year, rotate among the other three and have 3 OOC games.

Winners of the division make a conference semi finals. Winner of conference reach national semi final. And bowl games fill in elsewhere.
