A running thread for the Men's Lacrosse Season.

SMU 15
Baylor 4

8-0 at half when SMU made the goalie change.

200+ people on the sidelines at the IM fields.

Freshman midfielder cole sisto with 6 goals and 1 assist.

Next up a trip to Tallahassee, FL to play UCF, UGA, and #10 Florida State.

SMU falls to 2-2 on the season.

SMU 5

SMU was up 4-3 at half and down 5-6 at the end of the third before the wheels fell off.

1-2 in the Southern Shootout, but they beat UGA for the first time in program history. The SMU roster is packed with guys from the east coast, so sometimes its good for them to realize early that lacrosse in Texas and in the non-traditional hotbeds is still quality.

They'll rebound from this weekend on Friday the 25th vs TCU at 7pm. If you haven't seen a game, this will be a fun one to check out. They also play the 26th vs UT.

Friday's game vs TCU will be played at 7:30 at Westcott Field. It's parent/alumni weekend. There will be a huge crowd. Come support the guys wearing harvard red and yale blue.

Nice games this weekend. The UT game was a tough one, but a real nice turnout in the stands. Were a bunch of little kids there as well, as this was being promoted through the HP Lacrosse clubs as well. Knew a handful of the UT players from their days at HP. Are there any HP kids playing for SMU?

Unbelievable score varations in this sport. We beat OU by 9 and OSU by 25 but then fall by 13 to Virginia Tech?

SMU finished the regular season 7-7. The guys are first in the LSA North with a 5-0 record in the division and have a bye in the first round of the playoffs. But the guys went 0-6 vs ranked teams.

SMU will play the winner of Texas State vs Texas A&M.

SMU lost to A&M in OT and lost to Texas State by 2 in the regular season.
