ROBERT NYAKUNDI: Sharp shooter

Postby PonyPride » Fri Mar 04, 2011 3:57 pm

SMU forward Papa Dia has been one of the best players in Conference USA all season, which was expected by many since the preseason. But much of the credit for SMU's solid record this season has to go to junior forward Robert Nyakundi, who has emerged as one of college basketball's elite long-range shooters. Nyakundi visited with PonyFans.com to discuss how he battled injuries to get into shape, how he benefits from playing with Dia and how he has thrived in the Mustangs' Princeton-style motion offense.

Enjoy!

Great story. He has come a long way and continues to get better.
I'm coming to Dallas in the morning for the game — beat UTEP!

Rob is outstanding despite what the clown Shadow Man says. Listen to your coaches Rob and you will have an opportunity to make money someday. We appreciate you very much. You seem like a wonderful young man.

Having seen Matt Carroll simply steal money from the Mavs and not make a shot, I would much rather have Rob shooting the ball for me
