Just a little stiff isn't it? If we did it based upon misinformation, then Auburn and OSU should get the death penalties--they knew it was wrong. What penalities did Tenn. get? Just the coach?

I don't think "Probation" necessarily means no postseason. My guess is the minimal stuff already carried out by SMU to self-punish is the penance, and we promise to not f up again in the next two years or else. Like deferred ajudication.

Major violations, my [deleted]. Doesn't sound like they're losing scholarships. Doesn't sound like there is a postseason ban.

I would suppose there is distance they can travel and phone records will be monitored daily and stuff like that.

I wish the NCAA would just internally blow up.

I'm so glad Jerry Tarkanian whipped their hides in court in the 1990s.
